With regional competitions coming up, we would like to make what we hope will be a simple and fun request.
We often see social videos posted by our members that really capture the Sweet Adelines experience. These are not edited videos or formal performances but casual, behind-the-scenes videos, often taken in a spontaneous moment on someone’s cell phone, unscripted, without a plan. We would love to have access to this type of content for international marketing and communications purposes.
Nobody knows Sweet Adelines better than Sweet Adelines, so we would be glad to see any video footage that members are willing to share. Here is a list of ideas, but they are by no means the only options:
· Members getting ready to perform
· Rehearsal/coaching sessions
· Members spending social time together
· The little “in-between” moments during competition
· Travel/road trip footage
· This is not required, but if you can record the following and add in your response that would be great! “Because of Sweet Adelines I can (or say “am”) _______. ”
Videos from a smartphone will work perfectly; we just ask that you shoot it horizontally. Also, be mindful of including footage of minors or non-members whose presence may not be covered under our photo consent agreements.
Please have your members direct all footage to our designated drop box no later than JUNE 2, 2023:
