Convention Hotels
One way North By Northwest Region 13 reduces convention costs is through our contracted hotel room block. When our room block is not utilized by attendees, we face significant financial penalties, which may ultimately force us to raise convention fees. For this reason, we encourage attendees to stay at one of our two convention partner hotels.
Whether you choose to stay at the DoubleTree or Hotel RL, please make sure and do a few things at check-in to make the whole process easier: a) give the name of every person staying in the room, and b) tell them you want the bill split between the guests. This makes your check out process so much easier!

When booking:
• Clearly identify the number of guests who will be in the room, and also indicate if you intend the split the rate.
• Adjoining rooms may be requested, but these rooms are limited and cannot be guaranteed. Preference will be given for adults with underage children or who are acting as caregivers.
• Please let the hotel know if you will be needing an accessible room and what that entails (TDD, close to elevator, etc).
• The cutoff date for making reservations is Sunday, March 25, 2018 or until the hotel block is full, whichever comes first.
Parking: The DoubleTree is offering a 50% discount on self-parking to convention attendees. You will need to ask for the discount when you check in and/or out; it won’t automatically happen. Valet parking is available at current rates.
Shuttle: The DoubleTree shuttle service to and from the airport is $10 one way or $15 round-trip for convention attendees.

• A valid credit card must be used to secure a room within the Sweet Adelines' block. This card will be used to guarantee one night's room and tax, should you cancel after the cancellation period.
• Members need to inform the hotel AT CHECK IN if they want to split the room costs.
• If you intend to use multiple cards to pay for a room you must provide the hotel AT CHECK IN with the First and Last Names of each guest in your room along with arrival and departure dates.
• Changes and additions at checkout are not permitted. No exceptions.
• Room and tax charges per night must be split equally among all guests listed on the reservation.
• Debit cards ARE NOT recommended.
• The cutoff date for making reservations is Sunday, March 25, 2018.
The Region recommends if all possible, you pay for the room with a single credit card and divide the cost among your roommates in private. If that is not possible, click here.

A note about Hotel RL: Region 13 convention personnel worked with Hotel RL following last year's contest to address concerns members expressed in our 2017 contest feedback survey.
